EasyPrompter 4 Migration FAQ
Welcome to the new EasyPrompter! We know that migrating to a new platform can be daunting, especially when you rely on it for live production. That is why we have built EasyPrompter 4 to be more powerful, more reliable, and easier to use, while keeping everything you loved about the original.
This guide will walk you through what is new, how EasyPrompter 4 improves upon the legacy version, our new flexible billing structure, and exactly how to move your scripts over safely. Create your EasyPrompter 4 account when you are ready to start.
Before anything else, here's what matters
You won't lose anything
Migrating only copies your scripts into EasyPrompter 4. Your originals stay exactly where they are in your legacy account, and we never delete your scripts.
It's free
Importing your scripts costs nothing on any plan, including Free. Every script comes across, however many you have, and none of them are ever deleted. On the Free plan your two most recently edited scripts stay editable and the rest are read-only until you move to a paid plan. Any unused time on your legacy plan becomes credit toward your new subscription.
You have time
Legacy isn't going anywhere until March 31, 2027. There's no need to rush.
How is the Creator plan better than my Legacy Pro account?
EasyPrompter 4 is a complete rewrite on a much more reliable and powerful foundation. The Creator plan is the direct replacement for Legacy Pro, but it includes several major upgrades that were impossible in the old system:
Full Offline Editing
You can now write, edit, and save scripts offline. The legacy app only allowed you to read previously cached scripts.
Word Import & Export
Bring your .docx files directly into the prompter, or export your scripts as Word and PDF files.
Hardware Support
You get an Integration Key to securely connect an Elgato Stream Deck or Bitfocus Companion, plus native Contour ShuttlePro support. Take tactile control over playback, speed, and script navigation.
Better Organization
Group your scripts into collections, use drag-and-drop file management, and quick search (Cmd+K or Ctrl+K) to find anything instantly.
Secure Share Links
Generate read-only web links to instantly share your scripts with clients, co-hosts, or talent without requiring them to create an account.
Instant Sync
The phone remote and multi-screen connections are now truly instant, built on robust, modern technology.

Synchronized Multi-Display Control
The legacy "dual screen" and QR-code remote were just the beginning. EasyPrompter 4 introduces displays that reconnect automatically and synchronized multi-device sessions.
Operator Mode
Go far beyond just seeing what your talent sees. This dedicated control view gives you a pixel-accurate live preview of every connected display. You can monitor connection health and remotely adjust text size, margins, timers, and cue markers for each screen individually, all without interrupting the presenter.
Live Edit
Make corrections to a script while the prompter is rolling. Your changes instantly appear on all connected presenter screens without losing your spot or restarting the session.
Broadcast Integration
Feed your script directly into OBS, vMix, Wirecast, or XSplit using a transparent browser source. Your text stays perfectly synchronized while you control the settings.
Collaboration & Teams
EasyPrompter 4 introduces Studio Workspaces, allowing you to invite your team, assign roles (Admin, Producer, Editor, Talent), and collaborate securely.

Moving Your Scripts & Billing
Founding Member Discount
If you were a part of our beta program, you have earned a Founding Member discount!
- You receive 20% off the base price of a Creator, Operator, or Studio subscription for your first 12 paid months.
- The discount is applied automatically when you select a plan in the billing flow.
- If you have legacy credit, your discount begins on your first paid invoice after the credit is used up.
- You have until December 7, 2027 to redeem this offer.

We are here for you. If you hit a snag during migration, or if your subscription move needs support, please Contact Support. Include the safe error code shown on the migration screen, but please never send us your passwords or payment details.
